AGWA manages a number of accreditation and audit programs design to lift industry standards and consumer confidence when selecting and trading with AGWA members. AGWA's accreditation programs can be traced back over many years to the inception of the window system accreditation program first developed under AWA. Today, that program has grown to cover more industry sectors and business elements with the sector accreditation programs now looking at compliance, training and safety.
Compliance – Glazing and/or Manufacturing
Provides Accredited Companies with the means to independently demonstrate product performance and compliance with the National Construction Code, Australian Standard (AS) 2047 Windows and external glazed doors in buildings, Australian Standard (AS) 1288 Glass in buildings and other relevant Australian Standards applicable to the project being reviewed.
Training
Ensures that Accredited Companies have the technical ‘know-how’ to achieve consistent and reliable performance while providing a continuing professional development program that allows Accredited Companies to maintain the currency of their skills and to improve competency within their workforce.
Safety
Assist Accredited Companies in providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and promoting safety and well-being in the workplace.
