Course Content

The AGWA has developed the online AS 4055 Tool to aid members in determining the wind load ratings for residential housing as required under AS 4055 Wind loads for housing.

The course covers how Google Earth can be used to obtain the site data that is required to be entered into the tool, including wind zone, terrain, topography and shielding to calculate a site rating. The AS 4055 Tool will produce a certificate that displays all the site data and the result. This certificate can be used as evidence to support the selection of both the glass and the windows.

Included in the training is an extensive assessment must be passed in order to become licenced to use the Tool. Once the licence is granted, there are no additional license fees or ongoing costs required for use of the Tool.

Requirements

Basic computer skills are required: use of a mouse and minimal typing.

You will also need:

• A computer with a sound and video card, speakers (or earphones)
• An internet connection
• An email address is required for enrolment

On-Demand online courses are delivered through MOODLE.
